The house was built around 1870. Over the years there were additions and renovations. The former owner added on upper and lower front porches, a new kitchen (the original kitchen was outdoors), a bedroom and a bathroom. Not exactly what we would have done, but it allowed us to move in almost immediately.

Over the years we have made changes, always trying to keep the integrity of the old house. Old houses tell their own story in funny ways: creaking and slanting floors, swarms of ladybugs in the winter, windows that whistle. If there are ghosts here, they are very friendly!
